Why did you leave the country?

I leaved because of the war

So I leaved, to see my future

Because there were lots of bombs falling around our home
Porque allá caían muchas bombas alrededor de nuestra casa

They (ISIS) killed my uncle and my cousin

and that was the point, where my father decided to leave our country with us.

How was your life at home?

My house and my garden were beautiful

but after the war came, and the bombs were falling, it became worse and we had to leave.

What do you wish for the future?

To get to a safe place with my family

and see my friends again.

and that the poor people can do the same.

What does "Don Bosco" mean to you?
¿Qué significa para ti, “Don Bosco”?

It's beautiful, because we have the possibility to play and study
Es bonito, porque tenemos la oportunidad de jugar y aprender.

It's the only place I don't feel I'm strange here.
Es el único sitio donde no me siento una extraña/un extraño.

It's my family, my school, my church, my home, my everything.
Es mi familia, mi escuela, mi Iglesia, mi casa, mi todo.

When we came to Don Bosco, we forgot all of our problems.
Cuando llegamos a Don Bosco, olvidamos todos nuestros problemas.

I like it here at the center, because when I can play, I get happy,
Me gusta estar aquí en el Centro, porque soy feliz cuando puedo jugar.

and that they teach us English.
Y nos enseñan inglés.

I have to thank God, that I'm at a safe place

and that the "Oratory", "Don Bosco" and father Jacky
y que el “Oratorium”, “Don Bosco” y el hermano Jacky

help me so much, to carry on this life and to handle it,
me ayudan mucho a continuar esta y a ir adelante

until I see my future.
hasta que pueda ver con claridad mi futuro.

Don Bosco makes me laugh again ... and smile!

The freedom which we are living in, is the highest of all goods. That's for sure.
La libertad en la que vivimos, es el bien supremo. Eso es seguro.
