Why did you leave the country?

I leaved because of the war

So I leaved, to see my future

and for my brother to see his future

Because there were lots of bombs falling around our home

ISIS: "You are a Christian! It's forbidden, to record this kind of clips!

ISIS said, either we will become Muslim like them and we accept there rules,

or we have to leave ...

They (ISIS) killed my uncle and my cousin

and that was the point, where my father decided to leave our country with us.
und das war der Punkt, wo mein Vater entschied, mit uns das Land zu verlassen.

How was your life at home?

My house and my garden were beautiful

but after the war came, and the bombs were falling, it became worse and we had to leave.

What do you wish for the future?

To get to a safe place with my family

and see my friends again.

and that the poor people can do the same.

It's beautiful, because we have the possibility to play and study
Es ist schön, weil wir die Möglichkeit haben zu spielen und zu lernen

It's the only place I don't feel I'm strange here.
Es ist der einzige Ort, wo ich fühle, dass ich nicht fremd bin.

It's my family, my school, my church, my home, my everything.
Es ist meine Familie, meine Schule, meine Kirche, mein Zuhause, mein Alles.

When we came to Don Bosco, we forgot all of our problems.
Als wir nach Don Bosco kamen, haben wir all unsere Probleme vergessen.

I like it here at the center, because when I can play, I get happy,

and that they teach us English.

I have to thank God, that I'm at a safe place
